Canine Case Coaching
Designed for dog trainers stuck on a challenging case? Great Dog offers confidential consulting offered case-by-case support. We welcome the opportunity to work with you and your clients to achieve success that sometimes takes a village! Hourly rates via in zoom, over the phone or in person ($125/hour).
Monthly Mentoring
Canine business mentoring available for daycare and boarding facilities as well as behavior case management. This program is designed for budding dog trainers looking to establish their own client base and business and want the guidance and support of a seasoned, credentialed industry veteran. Three monthly 60 minute “coffee” zoom in person calls to review submitted cases or class development outlines, enrichment programs, discuss business conceptual development, etc ($325/month subscription. Canine Educator Prep Course

In person or via zoom. Prepare for the CPDT-KA exam targeting the 4 quadrants of learning theory, functional assessments, the ABC’s of dog training, class presentation and client relations, differential rates of reinforcements, respondent, operant, and classical conditioned learning. Students will have the opportunity to work up functional assessments on real dog behavior cases. Available in person learning at our Great Dog Learning Annex in Seattle, WA or available remotely (via zoom) when classes are offered. Classes are not recorded. There are two levels of Canine Educator Prep Course offered, each are 4 weeks for $499, plus required reading texts. Perfectly paired with Monthly Mentoring for ongoing accountability and preparation for the exam.
Canine Educator Internship

Open to Seattle area students for in person learning and opportunities to gain hours towards their CCPDT exam applications! Internships are for 3, 6 or 12 months in duration depending on desire & commitment level. All internships are a minimum of 3 hours twice per week and should include at least one weekend day. Interns assist with private lessons, record and assess behaviors on real life case studies. They learn classroom set ups, curriculum presentation and design, behavioral setting events, and mentor with a certified behavioral consultant or trainer. Interns are also granted access to the online Dog Handler Academy suite. Internships complement the Canine Educator Prep Course, PIMA veterinary students, the University of Washington Applied Animal Behavior Certificate program or any online, LIMA compliant, learning program. Gain real hands on dog training experience in a professional setting! Internships are unpaid but may result in an offer of employment upon completion.
