Great Dog Daycare – Seattle’s Premier Dog Daycare & Enrichment Center

At Great Dog Daycare, your pup will thrive in more than 8,000 square feet of safe, supervised indoor and outdoor play areas. Our experienced, trained staff are on the floor engaging with the dogs—offering snuggles, managing group play, and making sure every dog has a positive experience. With plenty of canine friends to socialize with, your dog will enjoy a fun-filled day while you’re at work or running errands.

Dogs at Great Dog don’t just play—they explore! From splashing in swimming pools to chasing soccer balls, bowling games, fetch sessions, or even trying their “paws” at the piano, your dog will never be bored. We rotate activities to keep dogs active and engaged, including sprinkler parties, sunbathing sessions, obedience refreshers, and structured enrichment games. By the end of the day, you’ll pick up a happy, tired dog who can’t wait to come back.

Why Choose Great Dog Daycare?

As one of Seattle’s original pioneers in dog daycare, we have the expertise to create a safe, enriching, and interactive environment for dogs of all ages, sizes, and temperaments. We encourage every new client to take a personal tour of our facility, meet our team, and see firsthand how dog daycare at Great Dog can improve your dog’s social skills, confidence, and overall well-being.

Enrichment That Goes Beyond Play

Play is important, but research shows that mental stimulation and cognitive enrichment are just as vital for canine health. Dogs who engage in enrichment activities enjoy better mental function, lower stress, improved behavior, and stronger bonds with their humans. That’s why Great Dog offers a dedicated Enrichment Program with activities such as:

  • Kong play & puzzle time to encourage problem solving

  • Nose work and scent games for confidence building

  • Music and training tune-ups to reinforce manners

  • Personalized neighborhood walks for variety and fresh air

  • Bowling and other group games to spark joy and teamwork

At Great Dog Daycare Seattle, we’re more than a place to drop off your dog—we’re a partner in your dog’s happiness, health, and development.

BEHAVIOR

Dogs in daycare, boarding or attending our Enrichment Room must not exhibit any aggressive behavior for any reason. Any dog exhibiting such behavior will be safely isolated from the rest of the pack and will not be allowed re-admission until such behavior has been modified. We reserve the right to exclude dogs from our services that pose a potential risk to the safety of our dogs and staff or if your dog is unhappy in our pack.

RESERVATIONS & PACKAGES

Reservations are required for all daycare, overnight & enrichment pooches.
Overnight and daycare dogs need to arrive before 2pm.   It helps boarding dogs to drop off earlier.  If your dog will not be attending on a scheduled day, we need to know by 7am of the scheduled day.  Failure to notify us will result in a $10 “no show” charge. If your dog misses (and you fail to notify Great Dog) three or more visits within a sixty-day period, your dog will lose his permanent scheduled spot. This policy is to ensure that dogs on the waiting list get to join us when space allows.

All packages/punch cards need to be used within 60 days. Packages/punch cards expire 60 days after purchase. There are no refunds on unused visits or expired punch cards. Please see our pricing options. All packages/punch card rates are pre-paid. Days over on cards are subject to invoicing and a $20 late fee as well as 5% interest on balances over 1 month. There are no ½ day packages or visits available. There is a $20 fee for all returned checks.

AGE, VACCINATIONS & ALTERING

All dogs must be free of communicable diseases for at least 3 months prior to enrollment. Upon enrollment and re-admission all dogs must be free from any condition that could potentially jeopardize other pets. Documented proof of the dog being parasite-free is required. (fecal).  While we are excited to meet any newly acquired or adopted dogs, we ask that their first visit be no sooner than 14 days after they arrive home.

Puppies under 4 months are accepted after their second set of shots.

All shots and updates are the responsibility of each dog owner. All dogs over 4 months must have up-to-date vaccinations including:

  • Rabies

  • Distemper/Hepatitis/Parvovirus/Parainvluenza (DHPP 4 in 1),

  • Bordetella

  • Canine Influenza (CIV) - Required by the next vet visit

  • Not Required but encouraged: Leptospirosis

Written proof of vaccinations or titer counts are required. It is the owner’s responsibility to provide Great Dog all shots and medical updates .  Upon application, proof of a recent negative fecal exam from the past 60 days is required.

Spay/Neuter (Alteration) Policy
All dogs over 6 months must be spayed or neutered at the time of evaluation. Proof of alter appointment may be required. Those that hit 6 months while attending must be altered by that date, or take a leave of absence until altered. This is for the safety of all the dogs in our care. This applies to all breeds and sizes of dogs.

Evaluation Process

All of our Daycare and Boarding clients are evaluated for social appropriateness.  Once we have your dog's profile created and vaccinations and a negative fecal verified, we will call to setup an Evaluation to meet your dog, introduce him or her to our pack and see how we all get along!

Evaluations are a two hour process.  We have a standardized social and behavioral test that our trained evaluators and canine educators administer.  You will receive a verbal and a written report that outlines your dog's social abilities related to their environmental thresholds, human sociability, play skills, or outlines risky behaviors that may need to be addressed.

Once your pup has passed the evaluation, they are free to join us for play on a regular or as needed basis.  So we can staff appropriately, we take daycare and boarding appointments by reservation.  You can make a reservation by phone, in person on thru the online portal.

Because pack dynamics change, we ask that boarding dogs attend daycare at least once every six months.

Setting up evaluations can be a bit of a process, simply because we have limited evaluations each week.  We don't want to overwhelm our established canine clients too much by adding too many new pups to the pack too quickly.  We take applications thru our portal and will contact you once we have your application, vaccinations, and a recent negative fecal test on file.  Feel free to upload your dog's vaccinations and fecal so everything is ready to go!  We can sometimes get behind on reaching out, simply because our dogs & their staffing come first.  We are sure  you understand that dogs are our priority.
