Jack Russell Project of America,
Greyhound Pets of America touch our hearts simply because
these dogs are the founders of Great Dog. Dogs for the Deaf
also speak to us as a worthy but often under realized
community. We also have a wonderful working relationship with
our local Seattle Animal Control. It is truly a progressive
municipally run animal organization. Great Dog also hosts
fundraising efforts on the last Saturday of each month to
different non-profit groups. Italian Greyhound Rescue,
Seattle Purebred Dog Rescue, Pug Rescue and Seattle Beagle
Rescue have all enjoyed Great Dog during one of our events.
In 2004, Great Dog Shoppe teamed
up with the Cat Spay/Neuter Project to help find homes for
unwanted cats and kittens. Our available felines are
rescued from undesirable situations and given a chance to live
the normal, loving life of a companion animal. All of
the cats and kittens are fixed prior to going home as well as
had their first set of vaccinations. Adopters receive a
coupon for a free health exam at participating veterinarian
clinics in King County. We ask for a minimum donation of
$60 for each kitty. The donation goes directly to the
Cat Spay/Neuter Project so that they might continue to do
their valuable work. Please visit the Great Dog Shoppe
to visit with our favorite felines. Volunteers and
donations are always needed. Please call 206.526.1101
for additional information.
